In recognition of the essential role sport plays in rural and remote communities, Corteva Agriscience and Triple M partnered up to give eight exceptional local sporting clubs each $5,000 to restore and revitalise their facilities.
Corteva Agriscience Marketing Director Dan Dixon said;
“They’re the heart and soul of farming communities Australia-wide, but too often the local sporting club can be the most neglected building in town.
“So sports clubs were asked to go to their local Triple M website and explain why they needed a $5000 cash boost and how the money would be spent.
“Hundreds of clubs entered from a wide range of sports, it was hard to narrow it down but we congratulate the eight winners. We know some communities are being hit worse by the drought more than others. Sport can offer a great stress relief, even if you aren’t actually playing, just to go along, to socialise and be a part of something can go a long way to positive mental health. We are proud to be able to contribute a small part in helping revive and renovate some much needed facilities along with Triple M.”
The Corteva Agriscience and Triple M ‘Club House Rescue’ winners are:

  • Westside Rugby Leauge Football Club (Dubbo) who will be replacing essential club equipment destroyed in a fire last year.
  • Yenda Rugby League Football Club who are going to purchase a dual purpose League/Soccer set of posts.
  • Orange Waratah Junior Football (Soccer) Club who are repainting the club's amenities block and upgrading the canteen floor and security grill.
  • Riding for the Disabled Wagga Wagga who will use their $5K to complete a much-needed upgrade of the club's toilet facilities.
  • Brother's Bulldogs AFL Club (Bundaberg) who will buy new kit for the club's junior players.
  • Eagles Baseball Club (Mildura) who will line the walls of the score shed and add heating facilities for their volunteers.
  • Rushworth Speedway (Shepparton) who will renovate the clubhouse building and purchase new furniture.
  • Dalyellup Dockers Football Club who will use their $5K towards essential canteen and office facilities.

Corteva Agriscience and Triple M will be visiting the eight ‘Club House Rescue’ winners in six months to see first-hand how the renovations have helped each of the clubs.
